The Greening of Bubbie

In a slim, 58-page volume, Covenant Award recipient Ruth Pinkenson Feldman delivers a practical and philosophical guide to becoming what she calls a “green bubbie.”

And what’s that?   In her words, it’s “a new, energy-efficient model of grand parenting.   You don’t even have to have your own kids … The Green Bubbie shares lessons from the garden as metaphors to help cultivate a new image of a woman of any age who thrives in relationships, appreciates her heritage and recognizes that she has plenty to learn and plenty to share.”

The Green Bubbie, an easy-to-read and provocative book, recasts the power of cross-generational relationships, whether short or long-term.

Feldman is an internationally recognized early childhood educator and served for numerous years as Director of Early Childhood Education at The Jewish Community Centers of North America.

The Green Bubbie, published in paperback in January, is available at www.amazon.com.
