To support the production of a one-hour Chanukah special for national broadcast – Lamb Chop’s Special Chanukah – starring Shari Lewis.

Lamb Chop’s Special Chanukah was a musical comedy intended to build bridges of understanding by sharing with the multi-ethnic community Jewish culture, history, traditions, and values.  As part of the project, outreach and educational materials were also created to be used in conjunction with the film. These materials were distributed in 95 major cities to thousands of caregivers, teachers, parents, and organizations.

Lamb Chop’s Special Chanukah was selected to receive the GOLD award from the 29th WorldFest-Houston, the largest film festival in the world in terms of number of entries. The Special also won the 1996 Video Award from the Parents’ Choice Foundation and the Gold Apple Award from the National Educational Media Network.
