Sight Line Volume X: The Wonder Years- Inside the Field of Jewish Early Childhood Education

It’s fitting that our tenth volume of Sight Line focuses on Jewish early childhood education, because in Judaism, the number 10 represents good luck and strength. These are two qualities we urgently need in our national community right now, and two qualities that we can engender by planting the seeds of Jewish values and character in our youngest students. Anna Hartman, Director of The Paradigm Project and the curator of this month’s volume, offers: “In Jewish early childhood educational settings, our children internalize some of the deepest lessons of our traditions, years before they may study them formally. In these days following tragedy, witnessing their engagement in joyous Jewish learning is a reminder of the healing beauty and power of JECC.
