Covenant Awardee Dr. Erica Brown to Keynote Mayyim Hayyim Conference


Newton, MA, Aug 27, 2010—Dr. Erica Brown, Director for Adult Jewish Education at The Partnership for Jewish Life and Learning, consultant to The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington and 2009 Covenant Award recipient, will be the keynote speaker at Gathering the Waters, the International Mikveh Conference of Mayyim Hayyim, the Living Waters Community Mikveh.

Dr. Brown will speak on “Navigating Ambiguity: Mikveh and Transitions” at the conference, taking place Oct. 10 to 12 in Boston and including two dozen workshops, plenary sessions and area site visits.

Mayyim Hayyim received a Covenant Foundation signature grant in 2007 for Mainstream: The Mikveh Outreach Initiative, which offers assistance to communities seeking guidance in starting a new mikveh or enhancing services at an existing one.
