Milwaukee Through a Jewish Lens

Milwaukee, May 3, 2010—The rich and varied life of this city's Jewish community, in photographic images captured by local area day school and religious school students, will be showcased at a special exhibit at the Harry and Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center here on May 11, before atwo-month installation opens the next day at the Jewish Museum Milwaukee.

The exhibit is the culmination of a project of the Coalition for Jewish Learning, the education program of the Milwaukee Jewish Federation, using the nationally recognized curriculum of The Jewish Lens. Both The Jewish Lens and the Coalition for Jewish Learning are grantee organizations of The Covenant Foundation.

The project allowed Milwaukee students, during an entire semester, to document their experiences through their own personal Jewish lenses, resulting in a compelling and moving snapshot of a vibrant Jewish community.
