Ignition Grants
Do you have an exciting idea that is not yet ready for a multi-year Covenant Grant, perhaps because it is still in the research and planning stage or because the organization needs time to develop appropriate capacity and expertise?
If so, consider applying for a one-year Covenant Ignition Grant, up to $20,000. These grants are meant to help recipients explore new, untested ideas, or determine how established priorities can become more effective.
While developing an Ignition Grant proposal, it is crucial to determine how the grant would serve as a catalyst for further work that you are considering. What will it ignite?
The process of applying for an Ignition Grant begins here, on our website. The application process is composed of two parts. First, applicants should submit a letter of inquiry. The second stage of the application process will begin in late May, when Grant applicants whose letters are judged to be the most promising will be invited to submit full proposals.. In late December, the Foundation will inform all applicants who have submitted full proposals of the final decisions and grant awards.
Any organization that receives an Ignition Grant may apply for a Covenant Signature Grant after submission of the final report and evaluation of the program funded by the Ignition Grant.
