To develop training materials for teachers to combine more effectively after-school child care and Hebrew education. Project Director: Marlene Booth; $50,000 (1 year).

Orange County Bureau of Jewish Education, Costa Mesa, CA. Preparing Avocational Parent Teachers for a Supplementary School: A Model for Small Jewish Communities.
To recruit, develop curricula, and offer teaching workshops for the communties’ avocational teachers. Project Director: Joan Kaye; $195,885 (5 years).

Torah Umesorah, New York, NY. National Day School Recruitment Campaign.
The development and execution of a national promotion campaign to increase day school enrollment. Project Director: Rabbi Joshua Fishman; $150,000 (3-year challenge grant).

WTTW Public Television, Chicago, IL. Lamb Chop’s Special Chanukah.
To support the production of a one-hour special starring Shari Lewis about Chanukah for national broadcast. Project Director: Shari Lewis; $100,000 (1 year).
