Mazel Tov Amy! You do amazing work every day inspiring young people both campers and counselors each and every day/month/year. I have always and still always admired your enthusiasm, passion for Jewish education and living, and your contagious smile. Each and every summer I have been away from Nyack, I miss it more and more. No other summers did I enjoy so much then those at Nyack and for that I am eternally very grateful you hired me after an interview at Krispy Kreme at Penn Station. I will never forget that either. Thanks for inspiring me and so many others. You truly deserve this award and much more!

Congratulations Shai!

Amy, To say that you deserve this award is an understatement. You & your amazing staff, under your leadership, have made Camp Ramah the happiest place on Earth. Camp Ramah Nyack's fun is perfectly balanced with education & structure. I love watching my children grow emotionally, socially, & educationally at camp. And when the school year begins, my children count down the days until its time for camp again. Thank you for the wonderful gift you give us year after year -- happy children who almost every day during the summer insist that "today was even better then yesterday." You are an amazing woman. Educators everywhere have a lot they could learn from you & from Camp Ramah Nyack. Many, many thanks and mazal tov!

Jun 3, 2011 | Tribute from: Dave Bacharach
Mazal Tov to all 3 award recipients (with special mention for the two I know personally). I remember "Shai" as a counselor at Ramah Nyack back when I was a young camper there. He wasn't even my counselor (and wasn't yet a Rabbi) but I think that speaks to the impact he was having even back then. Nice to hear that you've been doing good things since then "Rabbi Shai"...Mazal Tov! And then there is Amy Skopp Cooper. I was a counselor at Ramah Nyack before Amy became Director there and a counselor/sgan-rosh edah when she first started that job. I had the good fortune to witness first-hand as she took a great camp and worked hard to make it even better. We both know it wasn't always easy but from everything i've seen and heard since then, you managed to make that great camp even greater. Nice to see that your colleagues, and the Covenant Foundation have recognized your efforts. Kol Hakavod and Mazal Tov!

Mazal Tov to all the award winners. A special Mazal Tov to Amy Skopp Cooper who has taught us so much about working towards "getting it right"- always reflecting and always tweaking. You protect, you empower, you include, you teach, and you still continue to learn. As you know, back home in our own school and shul we often ask "how would Amy Skopp Cooper handle this??" You model for us true leadership. It's an honor to work for you and with you. An honor well deserved. Much love, Atara Gorsetman and the whole Spira family

We are thrilled to see our daughter share this award with two other outstanding Jewish educators. Now, more than ever before in the history of our people, we need the remarkable commitment of those willing and able to rejuvenate Jewish education. Nothing less than the survival of our people is contingent upon their successes. Amy has always been a leader within our family unit. She is an amazing and wonderful daughter and a dedicated, loving and brilliant mother and wife. Recognition by her peers and the Covenant Foundation is the "icing on the cake." May she long continue her mission and may the Jewish world be stronger as a result of her efforts. We are, as always, very very proud!
